Our brief was to create an open-plan functional home for a young family with a particular focus on seamlessly enhancing the property’s traditional Victorian features whilst catering for contemporary living. To create an expansive living space that would encompass all the needs of a growing family, we reconfigured the layout including the excavation of a basement spanning the entire footprint of the property and extending at ground first and second floor level to the rear of the property.
We worked closely on the interior architecture with interior designer Summer Williams, enhancing the sense of space and scale with custom panelling, Crittal and glazed doors and coffered ceilings. Bespoke features such as an intimate working kitchen with bespoke over-sink suspended shelving and a mix of antique and contemporary feature lighting resulted in a very welcoming, beautiful personal space for our clients.
